The Immigrant Professional (Part 1)

Meet Alex, 35, smart, witty, more attractive than beautiful, IT professional who landed in Canada from Nigeria, two years ago. Alex had spent her two years in Canada, isolated, suffering and depressed, moving from one abusive odd job to another. She had decided before leaving Nigeria that she was not going to fraternize with other Nigerians or Africans in Canada.

Alex, now on medication for depression, having suffered isolation and lack of relevant information induced by the intentional distancing of herself from people of the same background as her and people going through the same issues as her, decided to go to a nearby RC church filled with mostly Africans.
