Alex was shocked at how much her new corporate job pays and how fulfilled she was doing what she was trained in the university to do. She regretted wasting two years so far away from the very people, her people who could have helped her settle into Canada effortlessly.

Having learned from her immigration mistakes, Alex created a professional group for African newcomers in Canada. The focus of the group is educating newcomers on the need for networking not only with Canadians but also with people from their home country who had landed in Canada earlier.
